The Joshua Bradley for Raleigh Workers campaign is proud to be endorsed by the following organizations:

We are honored and humbled to announce endorsement of our campaign by the City of Raleigh Workers Chapter UE150, the North Carolina Public Service Workers Union! UE150 is a democratic, member-run organization made up of state employees at hospitals and universities, and city employees in sanitation, streets, fleet maintenance, parks, and public works, which organizes across North Carolina for better jobs, wages, and working conditions and collective bargaining rights for public employees.

Joshua Bradley stands in solidarity with all Raleigh workers. Together, we can build a city where working people can thrive! Thank you, UE150, for your endorsement and trust.

People in Raleigh deserve access to healthcare, and that includes access to reproductive health services and abortion.

I firmly hold that reproductive rights is a working class issue. Denial of reproductive rights, a basic right of bodily sovereignty, is one of several ways power is stripped away from the most vulnerable and marginalized groups--particularly the poor, women, LGBTQIA+ people, and people of color. No matter how the laws surrounding it may change in the future, the fact is that the rich and powerful will always have access to safe reproductive care, where poor and working class people remain at the mercy of party agendas in Congress and their state legislatures.

While the North Carolina Legislature repeatedly attacks access to reproductive health through TRAP laws and funding crisis pregnancy centers, we can work together on the local level to protect the right to reproductive healthcare through buffer zones to ensure patient, volunteer, and clinic worker safety and privacy. Crisis pregnancy centers should be required to disclose their real purpose, including the fact that they will not refer patients for abortion and do not employ medically licensed staff. In May of 2019, the Raleigh city council approved grant funding for NeighborHealth, a clinic affiliated with anti-choice and pro-conversion therapy organizations. I will work to ensure the city never supports organizations that create barriers to reproductive health and affirming LGBT healthcare.

Reproductive health is more than just abortion. As a city councilor I will explore ways for the city to support safe, affordable, and affirming healthcare services for our LGBTQIA+ community. In the wake of the loss of Title X funding for Planned Parenthood and other safety net providers who refer patients for abortion services, I support city funding to help those who could not otherwise afford reproductive health services and coordination with local pro-choice organizations already providing this resource.

The North Carolina Green Party has endorsed Joshua Bradley for a seat on the Raleigh City Council, representing District A.

A strong supporter of workers' rights, police accountability and affordable housing, Joshua will encourage organization among citizens to develop a cohesive and effective force for City Council decisions that are less solicitous of developers and the real estate industry, and more focused on making Raleigh amenable to living wages and affordable housing.
